Burst Attention Span

After giving up cigarettes and alcohol for New Year, I was pleased by an apparently related healthy and energetic first couple of weeks to the month. It didn't last long. What felt like all over muscular ache on Sunday turned into a sore throat and cottonwool-head as the week went on, then a cough and now the whole farmyard of unhealthy noises is irritating the hell out of my office co-habitants. I'd take sick leave instead of tripping out on too much Voltaren but I've planned to go back home on holiday next week so I have loads of work to tie up. Typical, I'll probably be just recovered enough to go back to work when I return!
