I find it frightening that other world issues are probably understood to a similar level of detail and accuracy by the majority of politicians voting on these things.

It was a long held belief of mine that this kind of warped understanding came from reading ‘executive summaries’ and position papers, then watching too many lobbyist presentations in quick succession, but now I’m really not sure.
